Carbon Offsets
Delegates are encouraged to offset carbon emissions produced by their travel to Cape Town through a donation to My Tree in Africa. My Tree in Africa is an environmental initiative that will use your donation to plant trees at schools, clinics and public recreation areas in underprivileged areas in Africa. My Tree in Africa estimates that one tree offsets four hours' flying time, and that every indigenous tree planted in South Africa absorbs more than 500 kilograms of carbon during its lifetime.
